The topic of our research group is the interplay between direct and indirect searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.
Direct searches refer to the production of new, heavy particles at the highest energy colliders.
Indirect searches refer to precision measurements at low or high energies where new, heavy particles do not have to be produced directly, but manifest themselves through the modification of processes involving known particles, e.g. changing decay rates.
Recently, we have focused on two main topics.
- Rare exclusive B decays as a test of physics beyond the Standard Model
- Composite Higgs models facing direct and indirect experimental constraints
