Teaching in WS14/15: Nuclear, Particle and Astrophysics I

Research interests:
Tests of fundamental symmetries in particle physics,
Precision experiments,
Weak interaction,
Slow neutrons,
Nuclear- & alternative energy,
Micro- and nano-fabriaction

Current research activities:
We are focusing on the following experiments:

  • A new measurement of the Electric Dipole Moment (EDM) of the diamagnetic isotope 129-Xe.
  • The EDM of the neutron using stored ultra-cold neutrons.
  • Neutrino-less double beta decay with the enriched xenon observatory EXO.
